Manchester United are gearing up for a huge summer transfer window, with major changes expected in midfield.

The transfer window is fast approaching and United have begun identifying priority targets as they prepare for what could be one of their most important summers in years.

One name is rising above the rest.

Elliot Anderson has emerged as a key target for United, with the Nottingham Forest midfielder attracting serious attention.

The 23-year-old has developed into one of the most exciting midfielders in the league this season, despite his team fighting relegation.

United are not alone in the race, though, with Manchester City also circling as they look to strengthen their own midfield options ahead of next season.

Forest are expected to demand a fee in the region of £100 million, fully aware that they are sitting on one of the most in-demand talents in England right now.

Despite the growing transfer noise, Elliot Anderson has made it clear that his focus remains elsewhere, with the midfielder determined not to let speculation distract him from international ambitions.

He said, “Obviously we’ve got the World Cup this summer so all my eyes are on that.

“Playing for England, I’ve got the badge on now so that’s all I’m thinking about at the moment.”

Casemiro is set to leave at the end of the season and United want to bring in his replacement.

Sandro Tonali is another name who is admired by the hierarchy at United.

His teammate, Bruno Guimaraes, remains another target, with his Premier League experience making him an attractive option.

But with Manchester City entering the race and the price tag continuing to climb, this is shaping up to be a fierce battle, one that could define United’s summer before it even begins.
