Real Madrid have paid tribute to retiring legend Toni Kroos in his final home game for the club.

The German international caused shockwaves amongst the Los Blancos fan base last week following his decision to call time on an incredible career.

Kroos opted against signing a one year contract extension in Madrid and will hang up his boots after Euro 2024.

The Real Madrid ultras unfurled a tifo in his honour ahead of kick off, with Kroos named as captain for tonight’s La Liga clash with Real Betis, ahead of the UEFA Champions League final next weekend.

Kroos’ family joined him on the pitch ahead of the game with a guard of honour for the veteran star.

Fans have sung Kroos’ name throughout the first half with his children in tears in the stands at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

The final against Borussia Dortmund will be Kroos’ final club appearance, as he aims for a fifth European title in the Spanish capital, and sixth in his career overall.
