Eric Cantona is one of many Manchester United legends to remain in football following his retirement with the now 59-year-old becoming the co-owner of FC United of Manchester earlier this year.
Furthermore, the former United player was recently approached amid a potential takeover attempt to become a part of it.
As well as this, recently, the United legend called for a boycott of Israel in football due to his politicial beliefs.
These actions show how active Eric Cantona has been in the football world even if he is retired from playing.
Now, in his latest action, Eric Cantona has attacked current Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
On his stage show, An Evening with Eric The King Cantona, the 57-year-old stated: “I have many other passions and projects, but I thought that for two or three years I could maybe put those to the side and try to give something to this club [Manchester United], which has given everything to me.
“But [Ratcliffe] didn’t seem interested.
“I did what I had to do, so I don’t feel guilty anymore. I tried my best.
“Sir Alex Ferguson created a style of beautiful attacking football, which the new owners should have used. Instead, they destroyed it.”
The Manchester United legend also claimed that “the atmosphere in the stadium [Old Trafford] is different, unfortunately.
“I went to Old Trafford last season for the game against Manchester City, and I thought it was quiet.
“United fans prefer to go to away matches, to be with the real fans.”
With Cantona’s latest review handed out, his disapproval of the situation at United is clear to see.
Furthermore, this latest blow follows comments earlier this year where the former Manchester United player accused Sir Jim Ratcliffe of “destroying” the club.
