Everton boss Sean Dyche was happy with victory over Sheffield United.

The 1-0 win was their last of the season at home.

Dyche told told evertontv: It's fantastic, and for the fans, obviously.

"It's nice for the players. It's been a stressful season some really big highs and some really tough lows. We got there and, in the end, we looked after ourselves and we did it well.

It was a strange game today, a strange feeling, but another 1-0 victory, of course, and another clean sheet.

[It's] payback over a season. If you keep doing the right things, it does pay you back and we found a way. We've had to find different ways and we've had to operate in different ways, and we have found a way in a very tough season; very challenging.

I've been pleased with our consistency. I use that word a lot, but we've been consistent. My messages have been consistent, my staff's messages to the group have been consistent, and also to the fans.

We've found that link and we've kept it. Even when it's been stretched, we've kept it together. The fans deserve credit for that, as well."
