Everton are travelling away from home this week, heading to Craven Cottage to face Fulham, who sit one place ahead of the Toffees in the table, equal on both points and goal difference. Both teams have the chance to go 7th this weekend, so it’s a crucial three points for both the home and away side.

Here is the latest Everton team news and our predicted lineup.

How Everton Have Lined Up Recently

The Toffees’ AFCON Cup winners, Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye, rejoined the starting lineup in the past two games, and manager David Moyes is looking to them to make a strong impact on the squad to get the team back to winning ways.

With more players coming back from injuries and suspensions, the manager has a bit more choice in his squad, something Everton have not had for many months now.

One addition was made to the squad during the January transfer window: 19-year-old Tyrique George, who joined on loan from Chelsea. A fresh pair of legs and youthful energy may be what this team needs to bring them back to winning ways.

First goalkeeper Jordan Pickford started in goal with Jake O’Brien and James Tarkowski playing at the back as usual, Jarrad Branthwaite and Michael Keane replaced Nathan Patterson and Vitalii Mykolenko in the back four. Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye featured in the midfield along with James Garner, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Harrison Armstrong. Thierno Barry was the striker up front.

Everton Recent Form And Tactics

Everton are coming off the back of another 1-1 draw, this time against Brighton last weekend, as sub Beto scored a late equaliser in the 97th minute of the match. The Toffees have had just one win in their last five games, meaning a lot of crucial points have been dropped.

Moyes’ men still look like they’re struggling to create any threats in the final third against any team, and as they come up against the big teams in the coming weeks, such as Arsenal and Man United, this is something that Everton need to fix now.

Injuries and Suspensions

Dwight McNeil remains at Everton after his move to Crystal Palace collapsed in the closing stages of the transfer window, manager David Moyes reported that the player is ok, and the collapse of the move “100% had nothing to do with Everton Football Club.”

Harrison Armstrong remains at the team, despite Moyes hoping he could return to Preston. However this means that there is more competition for a place in the squad now, so performance levels could improve.

Vitalii Mykolenko returns as an option after he missed Everton’s tie against Brighton last weekend due to a knock.

Jack Grealish remains out of the squad, after it was confirmed he will likely need surgery on his foot due to a fracture, new signing Tyrique George could be his replacement.
