Tottenham Hotspur are going through a rough phase as the club faces the prospect of being drawn into a relegation battle in the coming months.
The Lilywhites’ dismal run in the Premier League has left them stranded in the bottom half of the table, just five points above 18th-placed West Ham United. As a result, the club decided to sack Thomas Frank last week and go with Igor Tudor as his interim replacement until the end of the season.
Igor Tudor, tasked with the big job of retaining the North London club’s top-flight status, has been assembling his backroom staff. Ivan Javorcic has arrived as Tudor’s assistant coach. The 47-year-old has worked closely with Tudor in the past, most recently during the current Tottenham boss’s eight-month spell at Juventus. Before that, Javorcic assisted his compatriot at Lazio, too.
Now, the club has bolstered Tudor’s backroom staff with three more appointments.
Tottenham have confirmed the appointment of Bruno Saltor as Tudor’s assistant coach, as well as made two more additions. He will assist the Croat until the end of the season.
Bruno Saltor had a strong playing career, representing clubs such as Espanyol, Almeria, Valencia and Brighton. He played 235 times for Brighton across seven seasons before hanging up his boots in 2019. The Spaniard then transitioned into a coaching role with the Seagulls.
The 45-year-old was a member of Graham Potter’s coaching staff at Chelsea, and served a one-match stint as caretaker manager after he was sacked in April 2023. Chelsea’s 0-0 stalemate with Liverpool is Bruno’s only match in the Chelsea dugout as caretaker manager. After three years with Chelsea, where he also served under Frank Lampard and Mauricio Pochettino as assistant manager, the former defender continued to work with Potter at West Ham, which ended last September.
Now, Bruno’s latest coaching gig will see him assist Tudor at Tottenham, where he and Javorcic will look to make the team more tactically disciplined and defensively organised.
The Spaniard is one of three new appointments to the Tottenham coaching team. Also joining Tudor’s backroom staff is Tomislav Rogic, the 47-year-old’s long-time goalkeeper coach. Rogic has previously enjoyed spells with Hajduk Split, Shakhtar Donetsk, Zenit St. Petersburg, and Club Brugge, but worked alongside Tudor at both Lazio and Juventus.
Following the arrival of Igor Tudor as Head Coach until the end of the season, we can now confirm the appointment of three additional coaches to our men’s first team coaching staff.

Riccardo Ragnacci is the third and final man to join the North Londoners. He will serve as a physical coach, having worked closely with Tudor at Juventus. Prior to that, Ragnacci worked with Italian clubs like Cagliari, Bologna, and Lecce. In naming Tudor’s coaching team, Tottenham also confirmed the exits of Justin Cochrane, John Heitinga and Chris Haslam.
Bruno, Rogic and Ragnacci have all arrived in time at Tottenham to help Tudor for Sunday’s high-voltage North London derby with Arsenal.
