Brentford manager Thomas Frank is linked with a move to Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou is under tremendous pressure to turn the fortunes of the club around. The Lilywhites are languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table, and have registered 19 league defeats this season. They are well on their way to finish the campaign with the club’s lowest ever point tally in a single Premier League season.

But the results in the Europa League are nothing short of incredible. Spurs are in the final of the competition and have the chance of winning their first European trophy in 41 years. After registering a comprehensive win against Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals, Ange’s men now have the chance to end the club’s 17-year long wait for a major trophy.

However, Ange Postecoglou’s job is still at threat at N17. The ex-Celtic boss has faced a lot of scrutiny from the media for the disastrous domestic campaign. It was reported earlier as well that Spurs competing in the Europa League has kept Big Ange at the helm in North London.

Tottenham should sign Brentford manager Thomas Frank

Daniel Levy has a tough decision to make regarding Ange Postecoglou’s future. The Australian has led Tottenham to the Europa League finals and winning the trophy would ideally mean staying for next season as well. But many fans believe that Levy will still go ahead and sack the ex-Celtic boss as Spurs will look to start fresh from next season onwards.

Now, former Spurs player Paul Robinson has revealed that Tottenham should go all in for Brentford manager Thomas Frank. Speaking to Tottenham News, Robinson said,

“My personal preference would be Thomas Frank. I think he’s an excellent manager. He just seems a genuine type of character who deserves a step up to the next level. That’s no disrespect to Brentford, because they are at the next level at the moment to Tottenham.”

The ex-Spurs player added,

“They’re sat ninth, Tottenham are sixteenth. But on the size of football clubs, Tottenham are a much bigger football club. And for him to come into somewhere like Tottenham, it may need somebody like that who can manage the whole club. And I think that’s what he can do. He’s good at that.”

Paul Robinson suggests that Tottenham should replace Ange Postecoglou with Thomas Frank. The ex-player believes Frank deserves to take the next step in his career after doing an excellent job at Brentford. Robinson also suggests that Tottenham need someone who could manage the whole club and not just the players, and Thomas Frank would fit that bill perfectly.

It remains to be seen what Daniel Levy will do about the managerial situation at N17. The Lilywhites are already linked with a few potential candidates for the job. The North London club is linked with Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola , Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner, and Fulham coach Marco Silva.

However, Oliver Glasner is looking like the more favourable candidate to replace Big Ange at N17. The Austrian is open for a new challenge after doing a wonderful job at Selhurst Park. Fans will hope that Levy takes the right decision and the club heads for an upward trajectory from next season onwards.
