Former Paris Saint-Germain standout Mohamed Sissoko disagrees with FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta. The Catalan club executive noted that he sees issues arising with Kylian Mbappé joining Real Madrid.

Laporta stated that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner would disrupt the dressing room. However, Sissoko believes that won’t happen and sees the Frenchman fit into the Real Madrid squad with ease.

“I think Kylian will go to Real Madrid,” Sissoko told Diario AS. “It is the perfect time to play with the merengue shirt. I wish him the greatest success in his new stage… I do not agree with that statement at all. Real Madrid is a great club that already has great players. Mbappé will be a great signing.”

Recently, El Chiringuito’s José Luis Sánchez also commented on the remarks. He believes that Laporta’s remarks are sour grapes because Real Madrid can sign these players while Barcelona remain in financial trouble.

It might be the executive’s way of dealing with the situation since it might be awhile before Barcelona can land one of the players that can be considered the best in the world. Maybe they can try their luck luring Erling Haaland away from Manchester City.

However, if Real Madrid wants the Norwegian striker, then Barcelona might have to wave goodbye to pursuing him.
