Lazio are keeping an eye on Fiorentina left-back Fabiano Parisi while Nuno Tavares is being evaluated by the club.
The Biancocelesti exercised their option to buy the Portuguese earlier this week, but his future at Formello remains anything but certain. The 25-year-old was sensational in the first few months of the season, but suffered a series of muscle injuries in the second half of the campaign which wrecked his momentum.
Therefore, Lazio are unsure if they want to keep Tavares or sell him to one of his suitors. The left-back has admirers in the Premier League , Turkiye and Saudi Arabia. Moreover, returning head coach Maurizio Sarri and his staff are examining whether the player possesses the required characteristics to fit within their playing system.
In the meantime, the Aquile are already searching the market for a potential replacement, with Parisi emerging as one of the candidates for the role. The 24-year-old hasn’t been able to establish himself as a regular starter since making the move from Empoli to Fiorentina in the summer of 2023. Therefore, the Tuscans would be willing to offload him for the right price.
