Exclusive: Napoli already offered more than 40m for Liverpool striker Nunez

Napoli continue their chase for Liverpool striker Darwin Núñez and have already offered more than €40m for the Uruguay international.

Napoli have made Liverpool striker Núñez their priority in attack and have already made a verbal offer in the region of €42m-€43m, sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me.

The real Nunez price tag

Some Italian sources suggest Liverpool’s asking price exceeds €70m, but I can exclusively reveal that the Reds’ price tag on the 25-year-old is around €50m.

Núñez has already rejected offers from the Saudi Pro League, indicating that he aims to remain in Europe after a disappointing season at Anfield.

Napoli in talks for Lucca and Nunez

Napoli have also set their sights on Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca, but are not going to close the deal anytime soon.

Antonio Conte is an admirer of both strikers, but the Liverpool forward is an international profile who, on paper, would allow Napoli to make a further step forward in the 2025-26 campaign.
