Exclusive: New Manchester United signing visits Carrington

Manchester United’s Carrington Training Centre saw four new signings come in this summer.

Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Senne Lammens were signed as part of the INEOS rebuild.

All have started off the season well in their own respective ways.

The Red Devils are also targeting younger talents that can develop into a first-team star, and there is certainly more emphasis under the new sporting ownership.

The likes of Harley Emsden-James, Enzo Kana-Biyik, and Charlie Hardy were signed this summer to be part of the future.

This trend is set to continue through the signing of 17-year-old Cristian Orozco from Columbia.

He currently plays for his local club, Fortaleza CEIF, and will continue his development there for the immediate future.

The Red Devils agreed a deal with the Columbian club for the youngster to join when he turns 18.

We can reveal some exclusive details about him now.

CentreDevils understands that Cristian Orozco was at Carrington Training Centre today with a specialist guide from the club and a representative to help him get familiarised with the facilities.

The Columbian international has been in Manchester for the past few days, where he also visited Old Trafford and he is rated highly by the scouts.

We can reveal that the youngster is set to be assessed in the preseason of 2026 when he signs his contract with the club at 18.

The agreed-upon deal is reportedly a relatively modest one, worth around $1 million (roughly around £750,000).

This fee reflects his status as a promising youth prospect rather than an established senior player.

This signing coincides with United’s objective of expanding their scouting network, especially due to post-Brexit laws limiting the recruitment of young European players.

The club is putting more effort into finding and acquiring elite players from regions other than Europe, such as South America.
