Fenerbahce could help Man United save massive wage expense with £25m deal

The Red Devils could secure a Champions League spot for next season if they win the upcoming Europa League final. However, they keep one eye on the summer transfer window as they urgently look to sell players currently on loan.

Sancho joined Chelsea with an obligation to permanently buy the winger if they secure a Premier League finish above 15^th. As the London club have already secured that position, they have to pay between £20m and £25m to sign Sancho.

However, the Londoners also have a £5m clause to get out of the deal, something they are likely to exercise. According to Turkish outlet Yeni Asir, Mourinho wants Fenerbahce to sign Sancho from United amid a delay in the decision from Chelsea.

The 25-year-old has made 40 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea this season, contributing four goals and providing 10 assists. Despite having a few moments of magic, Sancho has failed to impress Chelsea supporters, while the door for a return to United remains closed.

How much Fenerbahce are willing to pay is up for speculation, but United need to procure the highest amount possible. At the same time, removing Sancho’s big wages from the expenses is also an achievement for the financially struggling United.
