Fenerbahce hold meeting to sign Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has returned to Manchester United this summer after spending the previous 18 months away from Old Trafford.

At one stage, it looked as though his United career had reached its end.

Rashford first joined Aston Villa on loan in 2025 before spending last season with Barcelona, where he helped the Spanish giants win La Liga.

His return this summer therefore opened another chapter in a career which started in United’s academy and exploded into life under Louis van Gaal in 2016.

Rashford scored twice on his senior debut against Midtjylland before doing the same against Arsenal three days later.

Those performances immediately established him as one of the club’s most exciting young players.

Ten years later, he was back in a United shirt for the opening Premier League game of the season.

However, the occasion ended badly as Michael Carrick’s side suffered an embarrassing 2-0 defeat to newly-promoted Hull City.

Now, another club has made a move to take Rashford away from Old Trafford.

Fenerbahce hold talks over Marcus Rashford transfer

According to Turkish outlet A Spor, Fenerbahce have held talks over signing Rashford from Manchester United.

The report states that club executive Cihan Kamer was set to travel to England after the Champions League draw in Monaco.

His trip was planned to include discussions over a possible deal for the United forward.

Fenerbahce have already shown huge ambition in the transfer market this summer.

They signed former United academy forward Mason Greenwood alongside Romelu Lukaku and Nathan Ake as they strengthened their squad.

Greenwood has already helped his new side reach the Champions League league phase.

Fenerbahce beat Lyon in the play-off round to secure their first appearance in the competition for 18 years.

United also return to the Champions League this season after qualifying under Carrick.

The two clubs will not meet during the league phase, however.

United were drawn against Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Roma, Sporting CP, RB Leipzig, Villarreal, Sabah and Como.

That means a potential reunion with Rashford would have to come later in the competition if Fenerbahce can complete a deal.
