After returning to Manchester United from a loan at Real Betis, Antony is still waiting to finalise a move to another club.

With just 10 days left in the summer transfer window, United are looking to offload some of their unwanted players.

During pre-season, Amorim told five players they wouldn’t be part of the squad. Since then, Marcus Rashford has gone on loan to Barcelona, but the other four remain in limbo.

The others are Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia. Garnacho is said to have agreed terms with Chelsea. Sancho has turned down multiple offers from across Europe, while Malacia’s camp has played down any talk of a move to Celtic.

Antony is reportedly keen on returning to Real Betis. However, the Spanish club haven’t been able to reach an agreement with United over a permanent deal.

Fenerbahce ready to match United’s asking price for Antony

Manuel Pellegrini spoke up about Real Betis’s interest in Antony, saying they still hope to bring the Brazilian winger back this season. He also suggested it’s now down to United, who came across as a push for the club to lower their price.

Meanwhile, over in Brazil, ESPN is reporting that Fenerbahce are ready to pay around £38.9m for Antony.

The report also notes that while Antony has favoured a return to Real Betis, he isn’t entirely convinced about moving his career to Turkey just yet.

Antony is believed to be holding out for offers from other clubs before making a decision, with most teams only interested in a loan deal rather than a permanent move.

United are looking for a full transfer given that his contract runs until June 2027 and are unlikely to settle for another loan spell.

Clubs looking to take Antony on loan

Several clubs have shown interest in Antony over the summer, according to reports. While Real Betis are well known to be keen on bringing him back for another loan spell, Brighton, Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica have also made approaches. However, none of these options have developed into anything concrete yet.

As it stands, there hasn’t been any movement toward a deal, and with time running out in the transfer window, there’s a chance he could stay at United into the season.
