FIFA has already sold 1.8 million tickets for World Cup

If you're an avid soccer fan looking to score tickets to the World Cup in Qatar, that quest may be easier said than done.

According to multiple sources, FIFA has already sold 1.8 million tickets, and when the remaining vouchers go on sale next week, there will only be 200,000 still available.

According to a news release from FIFA, the top countries to scoop up tickets have been Canada, England, France, Germany, India, Saudi Arabia, Spain, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.

FIFA also said in the release that the sales period for the remaining tickets will close on Aug. 16. Although, from the look of sales thus far, it is possible tickets will be sold out long before that date.

All 32 teams participating in the World Cup have already qualified. The tournament kicks off on Nov. 21.
