Five vital games that could well define Celtic’s season…

As the international break comes to an end, we now turn our attention to a run of fixtures that could very well make or alternatively dent our season. Over the next month or so just up until Christmas we will play eight matches across three different competitions.

Five of those games I’m going to highlight will be games that could well define our season.

Starting on Saturday night where a tough test awaits us against Hearts at Tynecastle. Following that we will be at home against Club Brugge in the Champions League where a win would all but guarantee us a play off spot for the last 16.

The following week sees us travel to Pittodrie to play Aberdeen on Scottish Premiership duty in a game that will undoubtedly be our toughest domestic fixture to date. Depending on results in previous games, we could still well be level or even behind the Dons in the table. Meaning a win at Pittodrie will be extremely vital as we look to send out a statement of our intent. It sure is a fixture to relish.

The following midweek we travel to Croatia to take on Dynamo Zagreb in a vital champions league fixture in what will undoubtedly be a tough fixture to negotiate. Avoiding defeat will be our ultimate goal as we look to boost our chances of automatic qualification to the last 16, which would be a very impressive achievement.

After Zagreb we will be heading to Hampden to take on theRangers in the final of the Premier Sports Cup. The first bit of silverware of the season on offer, and a win will not only keep alive our hopes of yet another treble, but keep the feel good factor going as we look to make this campaign one of our most memorable in recent years.

It will be tough to come through all the matches unscathed, but a challenge we are more than capable of doing. Bring it on I say.
