After Inter Milan’s dominant 4-1 victory over Cremonese, former AC Milan and Italy player turned Sky Sport pundit Alessandro Costacurta highlighted the standout performances of Federico Dimarco and Ange-Yoan Bonny – two players he admitted had exceeded his expectations.

“There were players I had doubts about,” Costacurta explained, with quotes via FCInterNews.

“Dimarco, I think, played one of his best matches for Inter. As for Bonny, I had seen him play well before but never with this level of presence and effectiveness up front.”

Inter 4-1 Cremonese – After Dimarco And Bonny Praise, Costacurta Hails Chivu Squad Depth

The former AC Milan defender praised Inter’s collective mentality and depth under Cristian Chivu.

“Cremonese hadn’t lost before this match. There were so many positive responses, it shows the coach can truly rely on every player in the squad.”

Finally, Costacurta reflected on the team’s resilience after last season’s disappointments.

“I had doubts about how Inter would recover after the setbacks in Serie A and the Champions League final. But it looks like they’re back and, most importantly, they’re enjoying their football again.”

Bonny put in a remarkable display for Inter as they defeated Cremonese 4-1 at San Siro on Saturday evening.

Bonny made his first start for the club under Chivu, after joining the Romanian in the move from Parma to Inter in the summer.

The Frenchman picked up three assists and a goal, after standing in for the injured Marcus Thuram.
