Tottenham youngster Mikey Moore has caught the attention of Juventus this summer

Tottenham Hotspur are finally looking to accelerate their transfer business after the arrival of Thomas Frank.

The new Spurs boss must not only look to get rid of the underperforming and fringe players but also replace them with quality, exciting talents before the new season commences. In addition, the Danish tactician along with the key decision-makers of the club must sort out the contract situation of several players.

The Lilywhites are filled with young talents who have been attracting interest from European clubs. One of them is Mikey Moore.

Mikey Moore enjoyed a breakout season at N17 under former boss Ange Postecoglou, scoring one goal and providing two assists in his 21 games across all competitions, eight of which came as a starter. He is currently part of the England squad participating in the European Under-19 Championship.

Now, according to a report from Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are keen on bringing Moore to the Serie A. The club’s newly-appointed general director, Damien Comolli, wants to pursue younger profiles and has set his sights on the Tottenham wonderkid. Given his time at Tottenham earlier in his career, Daniel Levy will be aware of Comolli’s eye for talent.

The teenager’s performances during his breakthrough campaign in North London seems to have caught the attention of the new Juventus general director Damien Comolli, who has always shown an eye for talent wherever he has worked. The English winger got plenty of opportunities during the opening few months of last season before a bad virus sidelined him for around three months.

Despite barely getting minutes since the turn of the year, Tottenham bosses rate Moore very highly. As per reliable journalist Ben Jacobs, the teenage prodigy is expected to stay at his boyhood club and sign a new contract. The club are in advanced talks over an extension with the player, whose current terms are set to expire in June 2027.

Thus, there is no way the Lilywhites would want to let go Moore. Spurs’ eagerness to tie Moore down to a new, improved contract demonstrates how much they value him and want to nurture his talent. The winger is a big talent and showed flashes of potential, giving European teams a difficult time with his pace, directness and flair.

Now, Frank must take a decision on Moore’s future. He may want to keep him in the squad and hone his talent. But if Spurs decides to sign a winger, a loan in the Championship would do well for the youngster’s development.
