Four interesting teams to play in 'FIFA 23' Career Mode

With the highly anticipated release of 'FIFA 23' recently, it’s time to look at Career Mode and four of the more interesting teams you can lead to glory in this year's edition of the game.

Wrexham AFC

It is the second consecutive year that Wrexham AFC is featured in the 'FIFA' series. The club has gained worldwide popularity the past several years because of its Hollywood superstar owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Although the club is still in the National League, it is possible to add “The Dragons” into the English League Two and attempt to lead the club to the magical heights of Premier League and UEFA Champions League soccer.

With Reynolds and McElhenney estimated to have a combined net worth of $200 million, splashing the cash on some big-name signings to help push up the English football pyramid shouldn’t be an issue.

A.C. Monza

Monza is competing in the Serie A for the first time. Although the city is better known for its famous Formula 1 track, the soccer club has been catching the eyes of Italian fans in recent years.

Under the investment of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Monza has completed back-to-back promotions and found itself in Serie A. It is safe to say that trying to keep Monza in the top division will be a challenge.

With a transfer budget of $22 million, you must be smart with your signings, making sure to get a mix of talented youngsters who can add a spark to your side as well as some Serie A veterans who can provide experience ahead of a tough season.

Newcastle United

Following the club's takeover by The Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, Newcastle United is the richest soccer club in the world, with its owners worth an estimated $300 billion.

The Magpies would be the perfect team to manage if you are interested in becoming a super team and competing with the best clubs in world soccer for the highest honors in the game. You will have more than enough funds at Newcastle to persuade the world's greatest players, from Kylian Mbappe to Cristiano Ronaldo, to join you at St. James’ Park.

Unlike Wrexham and Monza, Newcastle is expected to be playing UEFA Champions League soccer regularly as well as competing with Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title each season.

With a hardcore fan base, a great stadium and seemingly bottomless budget, the stage is set for you to make Newcastle United one of the greatest sides in soccer history.

AFC Richmond

'FIFA 23' has added AFC Richmond from the Emmy Award-winning TV Show “Ted Lasso,” giving fans an opportunity to play as some of their favorite characters from the show.

If you choose AFC Richmond, you will have the ability to play as Ted Lasso and manage the club in the Premier League against the best clubs in the country. Players such as Roy Kent, Jamie Tartt and Dani Rojas will be under your guidance as you attempt to make Richmond a Premier League powerhouse.

As you progress through your career at the club, you may be able to persuade some of the league's best players to join you at Nelson Road.
