Marcus Thuram and Mehdi Taremi have come in for criticism for a misfiring display in attack for Inter Milan against Lazio.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, lambaste the Nerazzurri’s starting strike partnership in the 2-2 Serie A draw.

Marcus Thuram and Mehdi Taremi got the nod in attack for Inter Milan yesterday.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi returned Thuram to the lineup after he’d gotten a rest against Torino last weekend.

Meanwhile, Taremi kept his place for the Serie A clash with Lazio.

Thuram & Taremi Under Fire For Misfiring Performance In Inter Milan 2-2 Lazio Draw

However, the Corriere argue, it was not an effective performance from either Thuram or Taremi.

French international Thuram was never really able to use his pace and dynamism to create any dangerous overloads for Inter.

Meanwhile, Iranian international Taremi frequently looked to drop deep and get on the ball.

However, as with Thuram, the former Porto striker was not able to get any telling chances inside the penalty area.
