With his brace against Ajax, Inter Milan forward Marcus Thuram equalled a record set by Hernan Crespo over 20 years ago.

As revealed by FCInterNews, Thuram became just the second player in Nerazzurri history to score two headers in a single Champions League game.

Thuram scored both the goals as Inter emerged 2-0 victors over the Dutch giants on Wednesday.

The Frenchman has scored four of his five goals this season through headers.

Thuram Matches Record Set By Inter Milan Legend Crespo

The only other player to score two headers in a single Champions League game for Inter was Hernan Crespo.

In 2002, the Argentine scored two headers in one game.

Coincidentally, this match was also against Ajax in Amsterdam, as history repeats itself through Thuram.

Furthermore, fans of the club were relieved to start their continental campaign in winning ways.

The Nerazzurri put recent Serie A disappointment behind them to bounce back with an emphatic win.
