Striker Ange-Yoan Bonny has taken to the pitch for Inter Milan for the first time in a behind-closed-doors friendly against the Under-23 team.
The Frenchman partnered Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez in attack. And he got on the scoresheet as the senior team won 7-2.
Striker Ange-Yoan Bonny joined Inter Milan this summer. The Frenchman arrived on a five-year deal from Parma.
Bonny had been a Parma player for four years, having signed for the Emilian club in 2021.
And last season was Bonny’s first in Serie A. He made the step up well, helping Parma to remain in the top flight.
Therefore, Bonny caught Inter’s eye. And the fact that Cristian Chivu took over as Inter coach following his successful stint in charge of Parma certainly didn’t hurt Bonny as a target for the Nerazzurri.
Bonny has been part of Inter’s preseason training since the end of June.
The 21-year-old has been settling into the system under Chivu, and getting acquainted with his new teammates.
Today. Inter played a behind-closed-doors friendly match. The senior team faced off against the new Under-23 team.
It ended in a 7-2 win in favour of the senior side.
And notably, Ange-Yoan Bonny started for the senior team. He played alongside Lautaro Martinez in attack.
Furthermore, the Frenchman had a real impact. He was the scorer of Inter’s second goal in the sixteenth minute.
