France will be playing against Ukraine in Paris in a crucial World Cup qualifier match for both teams. If France defeats Ukraine, the French team will qualify for the 2026 World Cup, but if Ukraine wins, they will tie France on points in the group.

Both teams are in Group D of the UEFA World Cup qualification, where France is top of the group with 10 points. The French team has a record of three wins and one draw after four matches.

Ukraine is second with seven points and has a record of two wins, one draw, and one loss.

In their previous match last month, France did not qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup after drawing 2-2 against Iceland away from home. The goal scorers for France were Christopher Nkunku and Jean-Philippe Mateta.

It wasn't enough to avoid dropping points as Iceland's Victor Palsson and Kristian Hlynsson scored for the home team that day.
