From Man City to Barcelona, Inter Milan have consistently shown that they belong in the Champions League final this season.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan will face off against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final tomorrow.

This will be the second time in the space of three seasons that the Nerazzurri play in the biggest match in European club football.

In 2023, there was a certain sense that Inter had been fortunate to get that far. There was little doubt that they had a path through the knockout rounds that saw them avoid the top teams in the competition.

However, in the final against Manchester City, Inter proved that they weren’t there by coincidence. Even though Inter lost narrowly, they went toe-to-toe with the Premier League giants.

From Man City To Barcelona – Inter Milan Show They Belong In Champions League Final

After a mixed Champions League campaign last season that saw Inter go out to Atletico Madrid in the round of sixteen, this time around they have once again reached the final.

The Nerazzurri started their journey by playing away to 2023 final opponents Manchester City.

That match ended in a 0-0 draw. And it was an early sign that Inter would not let any team intimidate them.

Wins against the likes of Arsenal, RB Leipzig, and Monaco followed in what was a nearly flawless league phase but for a flat 0-1 loss away to Bayer Leverkusen.

And in the knockout rounds Inter have prevailed against the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain may have made themselves the favourites in the eyes of many fans and pundits.

But Inter have certainly shown that they are here for a reason. There is no way that the Parisians will be underestimating them.
