Galatasaray are ready to step up their interest in signing Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri would not let the 36-year-old leave without a transfer fee.
By now, Galatasaray’s interest in signing Hakan Calhanoglu has become a dominant theme of Inter’s transfer window.
However, Calhanoglu is not the only Inter player who the Turkish champions are thinking of a move for.
According to SportMediaset, Galatasaray are also keen to sign Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
The former Bayern Munich and Borussia Monchengladbach keeper is one year from the end of his contract. His deal expires at the end of June 2026.
However, that does not mean that Inter would consider letting Sommer go without a fee.
The Swiss remains the first-choice goalkeeper for the Nerazzurri.
Therefore, reports SportMediaset, Inter would expect a decent fee even for a player of Sommer’s age and with only one year left to go on his deal.
However, Galatasaray are not deterred by this. Mediaset report that the Istanbul giants are getting ready to make a move for Sommer.
