Genoa vs. Napoli Lineups, Preview

The 2026-27 Serie A season kicks off today and Napoli’s first game of the season will be against Genoa at the Stadio Comunate Luigi Ferraris.

Both teams had a pre-season to prepare for the new season. Napoli’s final friendly match this summer was last week against Aris Thessaloniki.

Napoli won the friendly match 6-2 with two goals from Kevin De Bruyne, two goals from Lorenzo Lucca, and goals form Amir Rrahmani and Scott McTominay.

Genoa started the 2026-27 season last weekend in the Coppa Italia. Genoa defeated Ascoli of the Serie B 4-1 at home with goals from Alessandro Marcandali, Tommaso Baldanzi, Lorenzo Colombo, and Elias Havel.

The last matchup between Genoa and Napoli at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris ended in a 3-2 win for Napoli last season. Ruslan Malinovsky and Lorenzo Colombo scored for Genoa but two goals from Rasmus Hojlund and a goal from Scott McTominay gave Napoli the three points.

Where to Watch Genoa vs. Napoli – Matchday 1 – Serie A

Genoa vs. Napoli will kick off at 2:45 p.m. ET/ 11:45 a.m. PT in the United States. The match will kick off at 8:45 p.m. local time at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris, in Genova, Italy.

The match will be available to watch in the United States and in Italy through select TV channels and streaming services.
