Germany U21 International Praised For Goal & Towering Performance In Inter Milan Serie A Win Vs Bologna

Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck has earned significant praise for his performance and goal against Bologna yesterday.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, name the German as the Nerazzurri’s man of the match in a 1-0 victory where he scored the winning goal.

23-year-old Bisseck got the opportunity to prove his quality in the starting eleven.

These kinds of chances have not always been easy for the young German to come by this season.

Former Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard has certainly been ahead of Bisseck in the pecking order.

But Pavard got a rest from the start at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara yesterday. Therefore, Bisseck started in the Frenchman’s place.

And Inter hardly missed the more experienced presence of Pavard.

The highlight reel moment from Bisseck was of course his goal.

The German scored a towering header towards the end of the first half. And that proved to be the winning goal in a very narrow victory.

And Bisseck deserves plenty of credit for getting himself on the scoresheet for the second ever time in his Inter career.

The German timed his run very well. And when he met the cross from Alessandro Bastoni, he placed his header perfectly and with plenty of power to beat Rossoblu keeper Lukas Skorupski.

But the goal was far from the only positive thing that Bisseck did against Bologna.

Throughout the first half, the 23-year-old looked eager to prove his worth to the team.

This meant that Bisseck was constantly trying to push play forward with aggressive passes and runs. This gave a real proactive edge to Inter’s play, as Simone Inzaghi wants from his defenders.

And Bisseck was as impressive defensively as he was in an attacking sense.

The German’s pace and positioning were key to keeping the Inter defensive structure secure during the first half.

The second half would prove to be real battle for the Inter defense. The formidable Bologna attack pushed forward constantly.
