Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck admits his first weeks at the club weren’t easy, but is happy with the improvement he made.

The 23-year-old arrived at the club last summer, completing a transfer from Danish top-flight club Aarhus.

He initially struggled for playing time under Simone Inzaghi, but gradually earned more minutes as the season progressed.

The German was in the starting lineup in this evening’s clash against Frosinone at the Benito Stirpe Stadium.

The Nerazzurri steamrolled their opponents by five goals while maintaining a clean sheet.

Nevertheless, Bisseck insists it wasn’t a walk in the park, as Frosinone had their chances too.

“It wasn’t an easy match,” said the Germany U21 starlet in his post-match interview with DAZN via FcInterNews.

“They too had their opportunities to score. But in the end, we had more quality and produced a better performance. That is why we won.”

Bisseck also looked back on his early days at Appiano Gentile, explaining how he struggled to cope, especially with all the tactical work.

“I am very happy when I am given the opportunity to play. But I remember the first week here in Italy.

“I made a huge effort because the tactical aspect is difficult to learn especially for a defender. But I learned a lot.

“I feel I have done better than I had expected. So I’m very happy with my improvement.”

The journalist asked the defender if he and his teammates are aiming to set a new club record by reaching 98 points.

“We go from game to game. You then have to ask the coach about this. We want to win every match, and if this record arrives, it will be even better.”
