Getafe coach Bordalas urges board to replace departing stalwarts

Getafe coach Jose Bordalas expects to stay next season.

The former Valencia coach is again being linked with a big club move away.

Bordalas told AS: "I have a contract with Getafe and, really, I only think about my day to day life. My thoughts are not on any other possibility other than adding the maximum possible points with Getafe. I understand that the rumours are typical of the world of football, but it is the only thing I can say because it is the truth.

"It is obvious that players are going to leave, or have already left, who have been very important in recent years: Damin, Jaime Mata, nal or Maksimovic. The president and the sports management are aware. We have to take a step forward and put together a squad with guarantees and youth this summer.

"We are not going to start from scratch but the backbone is going to go. Therefore, there is nothing left but to close the arrival of footballers who give us that guarantee and maintain the level. This way we will not have difficulties in the League and we will aspire for more each season."
