There is now apparently ‘growing noise’ that Chelsea are favourites to sign one sought-after striker this summer transfer window.

The big news comes after Chelsea finally secured their qualification to play Champions League football next season on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday.

EXCL: Chelsea will try to sign new goalkeeper this summer with names revealed as main targets – huge name here!

The Blues had to win this game to secure it, and they managed a 1-0 away win against Nottingham Forest to provide scenes of celebrations amongst the Blues players and staff yesterday evening. And in by doing this, Chelsea also set a brand new record in football!

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca was so pleased with making the Champions League that he took the opportunity to swear at all of his critics across the season by telling them all to F off!!

Terry wants an experienced striker in

Former Blues captain John Terry has been speaking on new striker links this week and swerved questions on Liam Delap to instead say that the club need to bring in a proven and experienced new striker if they want to take the next step.

Terry becomes the latest in a long line of former Chelsea players calling for the club to bring in more experience in the ranks.

Blues favourites for Delap?

The Guardian are reporting that there is growing noise that they are favourites to sign Ipswich’s Liam Delap, who also has interest from Everton, Newcastle and Manchester United, and there is interest in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. Frankfurt want £84m for Ekitike.

So Terry might be asking for more experience in vain, like all of us have been. Sigh.
