Marcus Rashford is approaching the end of his season-long loan spell with Barcelona, with him featuring across a range of competitions this campaign.

The winger, who could be selected for this summer’s World Cup finals, has made 38 appearances with ten goals and ten assists across all competitions.

His form this season, alongside other efforts from Barcelona’s squad, has seen the side go four points top at the end of LaLiga whilst also competing in the Champions League.

However, in recent weeks, the 28-year-old has been limited in his appearances with him not coming off the bench in the last two appearances whilst also playing an average of 36 minutes per game in the three games prior.

A lack of game-time has raised the concerns of some Barcelona supporters who are looking towards Marcus Rashford to provide depth in the attacking ranks.

Hansi Flick has now moved to address these concerns with him stating: “He has suffered from some physical issues in recent days, so we were cautious in handling that. But now he is ready and 100%.”

The news of Rashford’s issues may concern some supporters although news of his return may help to shed more positive light on the situation.

Rashford could make a return against Rayo Vallecano which may help him to prepare for his upcoming spell with England following selection on Friday alongside Manchester United players Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo.

Further appearances for the national team in upcoming fixtures against Uruguay and Japan could help Marcus Rashford in building his match fitness whilst demonstrating his abilities to Flick ahead of Barcelona’s first match back against Atletico Madrid.

A spell with England could also further help his case in being chosen for the World Cup this summer.
