‘He keeps delivering’: Postecoglou amazed by Tottenham player’s performance in late win

Tottenham Hotspur picked up a late win over Luton Town in the Premier League yesterday.

A late goal from Son Heung-min sealed a vital win for the North London club as they continue to push for Champions League qualification.

Spurs remain fifth in the table despite the win, three points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa. The West Midlands club have played a match more than the Londoners.

Luton were handed an early lead in the game through Tahith Chong in the third minute. Spurs bounced back thanks to an own goal in the second half from Issa Kabore. Son scored the winning goal of the game in the 86th minute.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou has now heaped praise on the South Korean international and revealed that he keeps on delivering when it matters most. the 31-year-old has been an indispensable asset for Tottenham since joining the club, and he continues to put in consistent performances.

“He keeps delivering. He had a couple of good chances, was a bit unlucky with a couple. He’s been a great player for this club for a long time and long may he continue. He’s everything you see. He’s really committed, has really high standards and gives everything he has every minute he’s out there. He’s a credit to himself and this club,” Postecoglou said.

Son will be crucial to Tottenham’s hopes of finishing in the top four this season and it will be interesting to see if he can help them finish the season strongly.
