Here we go expected soon: Tottenham make ‘late night’ transfer move for ‘unbelievable’ player

Tottenham Hotspur are now closing in on the capture of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig. 

The 22-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, but the Blues failed to secure an agreement for him. Tottenham have now moved quickly to secure an agreement with the German club for his signature.

The North London outfit are now working on agreeing personal terms with the player, and the deal is expected to be completed today. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Tottenham made their move ‘late night’, and they have an agreement in place with his club now. 

The player has also given the green light to move, and the two parties are now working on sorting out personal terms. 

The Netherlands International is highly rated across Europe, and he has been labelled as an “unbelievable” player by former Arsenal star Ian Wright. There is no doubt that he has the qualities to succeed in the Premier League, and he could be an excellent addition for Tottenham. They needed more cutting edge in the final third, and the 22-year-old will help them create opportunities and find the back of the net. 

He is capable of slotting into the central areas as well as on the flanks. His versatility will be an added bonus. He has proven himself in Germany, and he will look to make his mark in English football now. 

There is no doubt that he is one of the finest young talents in German football right now, and the move could look like a masterstroke in the long term. Tottenham are paying around €60 million for the player, and they will hope that the attacker can justify the investment in the coming months.
