FC Barcelona may have confused one and all with the way they have gone about their summer transfer business this summer but ultimately, it looks like the club are making the right decisions at the end of it all.
The Catalan club are soon to be on their pre-season tour to Asia and the team have been training together for around a week now. One reinforcement that Barcelona were looking for was a new left-winger and it looks like the club have identified their option.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided his trademark ‘Here we go’ as Barcelona reach an agreement in principle to sign Manchester United star Marcus Rashford. The two clubs have agreed on a loan deal with an option to buy.

Rashford has been pushing for a move to Barcelona all summer after falling out with Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim. The English attacker was loaned out to Aston Villa in the second half of last season, where he enjoyed a very promising stint.
The Red Devils, however, have decided to move in a new direction. Barcelona have managed to finalize their third arrival of the summer after Joan Garcia and Roony Bardghji on very favourable terms, as this is a deal without much risk but much potential upsides for the Catalan club.
Hansi Flick now has a new left-winger to provide depth and backup to Raphinha but Rashford is more than just that. He is also capable of playing as a number nine and can be used in rotation with Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.
The arrival of Rashford also allows Flick to move Raphinha centrally in games he feels he needs more attacking firepower up top, and there are a lot of benefits from this transfer. The only thing that Barcelona need now is for the Manchester man to turn up with a lot of motivation and desire.
Romano has confirmed medical tests in the next few days and that Man Utd will soon authorize his travel to Spain. It remains to be seen if he is a part of the pre-season tour or links up with the squad after that. Let’s wait and see how it plays out in the coming weeks.
