Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund should be on Italian soil today, but it’s worth noting Napoli included a release clause worth €90m.

All the details have now been finalised and the clubs have shaken hands, giving him permission to fly out this afternoon towards Rome.

This is where he is set to have his medical tests on Sunday and then sign the contract with President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Hojlund agreement with Napoli is in place

It is all confirmed, a paid loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season for a total €50m, activated if Napoli qualify for the Champions League.

Manchester United also have a 5% sell-on clause as part of the agreement.

What we can reveal is that there is a release clause in the deal Hojlund will sign with the Partenopei that is set at €90m.

This will put them in a position of real power when negotiating his future going forward.

The 22-year-old returns to Serie A after his one season with Atalanta, where he saw his transfer value go from €21m to €77.8m plus add-ons in the move to Manchester United.
