New head coach Cristian Chivu is reportedly keen to make Inter Milan less predictable by introducing greater tactical flexibility.

According to Sky Sport via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri faithful can expect a more fluid attacking pattern next term.

Inter had been nothing if not predictable under Simone Inzaghi.

Indeed, the former manager was reluctant to stray away from his trademark 3-5-2 formation.

However, it often had devastating consequences throughout the 2024/25 season, resulting in a rare trophyless campaign.

Cristian Chivu Plans to Make Inter Milan Less Predictable

Cristian Chivu wants to break the pattern without making profound changes.

Therefore, Inter will line up in a similar set-up.

However, Chivu will transform Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 into a 3-4-2-1 with one crucial difference.

Offensive players will have more freedom, which explains the club’s strong interest in Ademola Lookman.

Indeed, the Romanian tactician wants Inter to be more fluid in the final third, which requires minor personnel changes.

Furthermore, he hopes the Nerazzurri to be more aggressive off the ball and focus on forcing high turnovers.
