‘I can see it happening’: Former Tottenham star can see 21-goal star joining this summer

Alan Hutton feels Bournemouth ace Dominic Solanke could be the ideal fit for Tottenham Hotspur.

The North London club’s priority will be to sign a new number nine before the start of next season. Ange Postecoglou feels the arrival of a world-class goal scorer could help them take the next step and as per Alan Hutton, Dominic Solanke could be an option.

While speaking to Football Insider, the former Tottenham defender has insisted that the Bournemouth striker could be a perfect fit for Spurs’ system and he could end up scoring over 20 goals a season for them.

Hutton said: “He’s scored goals, he holds the ball up, he links play, he’s confident. He’s really thrived at Bournemouth and this could be the next step for him.

“To go to a team like Tottenham, where he will be loved and he’ll get the chance to play with freedom. I can see it happening.

“He fits into that system very well. Kulusevski played against Sheffield United and scored two goals while Son looked electric out on the left.

“They’ve got options, and I think he could come into the squad to be the guy who’s going to score the 20-plus goals that they need.”

Things might not have worked out for Solanke at Chelsea and Liverpool but the move to the Cherries has worked wonders for him. He has gone from strength to strength over the years and the striker has enjoyed his best season in the English top flight (19 goals) this year.

The 26-year-old has found the back of the net on 21 occasions in his 42 outings. His exceptional form in front of goal has attracted a lot of attention and Tottenham are one of the clubs who have a long-standing interest in him.

The North London club are looking for a proven goal scorer and they could bet on the Bournemouth ace. He is the type of player Spurs could use next season. Solanke can score goals, hold up the play and bring his teammates into the game.

Spurs already have a lot of quality in attack and Hutton feels Solanke could come in and improve them further. With Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min in support, the Cherries ace could have a bigger impact than he has had at Bournemouth this season.
