‘I would expect Levy to…’: Tottenham tipped to move for £60m-rated PL attacker

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto in recent months.

The 24-year-old has established himself as a quality player for Wolves and his performances have attracted the attention of the North London club. Tottenham could certainly use a quality winger like him, who is versatile enough to operate on both flanks and will add goals and creativity to the side.

Former club scout Bryan King expects the North London outfit to try and sign the Portuguese international. He also expects that Daniel Levy will try to negotiate a more reasonable price for the winger who is valued at £60 million. While there is no doubt that Neto is a quality player, £60 million seems like a steep ask.

Spurs will have to improve the other areas of their squad as well and they cannot afford to overspend on a winger. They will need to bring in a quality central defender, a central midfielder and a reliable goalscorer as well.

Meanwhile, Neto will be tempted to join a big club this summer and the opportunity to play for Tottenham will be quite attractive. It would be a major step up for him and he would get to showcase his qualities in Europe.

Tottenham will compete in the UEFA Europa League and the need more quality in the final third. Neto will certainly add more cutting edge to the side and he will help them improve. The 24-year-old is still relatively young and he’s likely to improve further with coaching and experience.

If Tottenham can sign him for a reasonable price this summer, Neto could prove to be a superb addition.
