Icardi: Three times Wanda Nara fueled Juventus transfer speculations

Wanda Nara has made people talk with one of his latest Instagram pictures where she’s seen wearing a Juventus tracksuit, but it is not the first time she has fueled transfer speculations of a possible move to Turin.

It’s no secret that Juventus tried to sign Icardi from Inter before his move to PSG in 2019. The Bianconeri particularly admired the Argentinean forward when Fabio Paratici was in charge of transfers at the Allianz Stadium, so the recent speculations emerging following Wanda Nara’s latest Instagram picture instil a familiar feeling in Serie A fans.

What Wanda Nara said about Icardi joining Juventus

In December 2018, Wanda revealed Inter had tried to send his husband to Juventus. When a journalist said Juventus had tried to include Gonzalo Higuain in a swap deal, she confirmed: “Juventus told me, he [Icardi] would play with Cristiano Ronaldo. I thought: ‘Look what they are doing to convince me. But in the end, it was true.'”

Juventus had signed Ronaldo in the summer of 2018, while Icardi would leave Inter at the end of that season.

Before the end of Icardi’s first season at PSG, Wanda was again questioned by Italian magazine Oggi about a potential transfer to Turin. She replied, “I don’t know where we’ll live next season. It could be Milan or Paris; in football, you never know. He’ll decide, and we’ll follow him.”

One year later, in February 2021, Icardi liked Instagram pictures of several Juventus stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala, and Leonardo Bonucci, after the Bianconeri eliminated Inter in the Coppa Italia semifinals. Wanda followed her husband with her own Instagram post, in which she wore a black-and-white dress and wrote, ‘Today, all White and black.’
