Tottenham Hotspur and Igor Tudor have mutually agreed for the interim boss to leave the club immediate effect.

A statement from the club read:

We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect. Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.

We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time. An update on a new Head Coach will be provided in due course.

Igor Tudor Leaves Tottenham

Tudor Never Got Going

Tudor arrived with a reputation for salvaging difficult situations mid-season. He was appointed after the dismissal of Thomas Frank, who had overseen a campaign that saw Spurs drift from European qualification contenders into relegation danger.

Tudor’s previous work was not replicated in north London, however. His first match, a 4-1 home defeat to rivals Arsenal, set the tone for a difficult start to his tenure. The team struggled to regain any momentum under his leadership, and were most recently brushed aside by relegation rivals Nottingham Forest.

Another Manager Departs

Tudor’s departure means Tottenham will appoint their third head coach of the season. The club already holds one of the highest managerial turnover rates in the Premier League era, and the latest change continues that trend.

With one eye on a permanent appointment in the summer, Spurs will now begin their search for a new manager who can attempt to steer the club away from the relegation zone and rescue their campaign.

Tottenham’s Difficult Season

Frank enjoyed a promising start which included a Premier League Manager of the Month award and a narrow defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup. While their Champions League campaign continued to deliver, the overall positivity soon evaporated as Spurs fell into the bottom half of the table.

Injuries have been a decisive factor in Tottenham’s struggles, with creative midfielders James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski both sidelined for extended periods. Spurs have suffered an injury crisis for three consecutive seasons and Tudor’s successor will likely rely on key players returning in the coming weeks as Spurs attempt to secure Premier League survival.
