While AC Milan continue to work on the new stadium project in San Donato Milanese , Inter has changed ownership from Steven Zhang to the American fund Oaktree and the Rossoneri have received a call.

According to Il Giornale (via Radio Rossonera), the new majority shareholder of Inter has wasted no time and they called RedBird Capital. The hot topic could be the new stadium, given that the Nerazzurri had plans to build their own that may now change.

Inter’s new Oaktree ownership have already started the first contacts with Milan and it comes after a couple of years in which relations between the two clubs were quite tense due to disagreements between Zhang and Cardinale.

Milan and Inter have now been working separately for months on the new stadium issue after the opportunity of building one next to the current San Siro vanished, however we must understand what the position of Oaktree will be.

The paper adds that the leaders of the Oaktree fund have a direct acquaintance with Giorgio Furlani, the AC Milan CEO. The relationships between the two clubs, also from a stadium perspective, could be different from what it was in the weeks and months prior to Zhang losing control.
