Former Tottenham Hotspur scout Bryan King has raised concerns about Richarlison’s happiness at the club, fueling speculation about the Brazilian forward’s future.

Reports suggest that Spurs might consider selling Richarlison if an attractive offer comes in, with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal reportedly preparing to make a move for him in the upcoming transfer window.

Al Hilal, the Saudi Pro League champions, previously expressed interest in Richarlison in January after Neymar’s season-ending knee injury, but no deal materialised at that time.

Despite recent social media activity hinting at his intent to stay, King believes Richarlison is not happy, stating that he’s someone he would want sold this summer.

Speaking to Tottenham News, he said:

“I’m not the biggest fan of Richarlison.”

“Perhaps that is because he isn’t playing regularly, or maybe there are issues behind the scenes between him and Postecoglou.”

“When I watch him play at Tottenham, he doesn’t look as though he is enjoying his football. He looks unhappy, and it is no good keeping players who are unhappy.

“I would be happier if Richarlison was playing somewhere else next season, personally.”

Those comments by King seem a bit too harsh. It is no secret that the Brazilian has had mental health issue the past year. He has also been suffering physically.

But since his return from the groin injury, his form improved. He scored 9 goals in his last 11 starts for Tottenham.

That being said, overall, he has failed to live up to his expectations since his big money move from Everton, and we won’t be surprised if he is sold this summer.
