Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze has made it known that he wants to join Tottenham Hotspur in the coming days

Tottenham are looking to strengthen their squad this season as they look to build on the Europa League success under Thomas Frank. With only a few days remaining in the transfer window, Daniel Levy must get down to business and try to land a few players that would elevate the quality of the team. The Lilywhites need to have enough depth in every position to compete hard on all four fronts.

The North London club suffered a massive blow during the pre-season that disrupted Thomas Frank’s plans for the upcoming campaign. Star midfielder James Maddison was ruled out for most parts of the season after rupturing his ACL earlier this month. And the Lilywhites have been in the market since then to try and find a replacement quickly before the window shuts.

Thomas Frank relies heavily on his #10 for creative output, as well as, an odd-goal every now and then. The Danish tactician wants his attacking midfielder to roam freely in and around the box by covering the half-spaces between the midfield and attack. So, Daniel Levy must ensure that Spurs sign a player that could easily adapt to the ex-Brentford manager’s system.

Tottenham need to seal the deal for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze

It is an open secret now that Tottenham are aiming to land Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace in the coming days. The Lilywhites are confident of securing a deal for the England international after agreeing personal terms with him. And the 27-year-old is also keen on the move as he looks to play regularly in the Champions League and compete for titles.

But a deal to get the Palace star through the door has still not been struck by Spurs. And Jamie Redknapp has urged the Lilywhites to get it done quickly before time runs out. Speaking to Hayters TV, Redknapp said,

“They need someone that’s going to be able to unlock the door. If they were to get maybe Eze, I think he’d be magnificent. I’m still amazed that he’s not left Crystal Palace and someone hasn’t paid up. Whether it’s Arsenal, whether it’s Tottenham. He is a world-class player.”

The ex-Spurs player added,

“He’s so talented. I’m amazed that nobody has gone and spent the money on him. They wouldn’t regret it because he’s got that lovely confidence when he plays. He’s one of the best players to watch and I think he could play for any side in the world.”

Jamie Redknapp cannot believe that Tottenham have still not managed to seal the deal for Eberechi Eze. The ex-player adds that the Lilywhites need someone to link up the midfield and the attack, and Eze is the perfect player to do that as he is a world-class player on any given day. Redknapp also reiterates that Spurs will not regret signing the Palace star due to his ability to step up in big games, adding that the 27-year-old can play for any side in the world.

Now, all eyes will be on Daniel Levy as he looks to complete the signing before Tottenham’s next game against Manchester City. Signing Eze would ensure that the Lilywhites will have a solid chance to build on the Europa League success this season and go deep in the Champions League as well.
