The Athletic have put out an article today going through Chelsea’s squad of incredible depth, proving just how much they have improved over the summer.

Some people will say that the squad is still too big, but the reality is that Chelsea have two extra competitions to play in this season in the shape of The Europa Conference League and The Club World Cup – so they will truly need this strength in depth.

The article today and the below image that accompanies it, just shows how good this depth is for Chelsea.

As you can see above, this is a squad that should have enough to be challenging on all levels this season, and you feel like they truly have to now.

I mean, they’ve included some players who might still be sold, and others who wont even be in the first team squad, but still the depth is there.
