Lazio star Ciro Immobile is ready to grit his teeth and push in order to be fit in time for the upcoming match against Hellas Verona.

The 32-year-old Italian striker was forced to miss the Biancocelesti’s tough 2-2 draw with Juventus on Monday following an ankle injury suffered in the win over Sampdoria earlier this month. Lazio looked toothless without Immobile and it’s clear that the team suffer when he’s absent.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Immobile doesn’t want to miss the final game of the season against Hellas Verona, wanting to both confirm his Capocannoniere title and to thank Lazio fans for their support this season.

His condition will be assessed on a day to day basis and he’ll try until the last minute to be fit enough to take part. He’ll have until Saturday to try and reach an adequate physical condition.

Immobile has scored 27 goals and provided three assists in 31 Serie A appearances this season.
