Injury update provided for key Manchester United trio

Manchester United are due to return to action against Everton next week with the Red Devils currently unbeaten in five Premier League games for the first time under Ruben Amorim’s reign.

Furthermore, with United currently sitting seventh in the Premier League but just one point outside the top four in a highly competitive top half of the table, the fixture against the Toffees could offer the opportunity to propel Manchester United into the top four.

As well as this, Amorim’s side could go six games unbeaten should they avoid defeat against the Merseyside outfit.

But, ahead of the upcoming game, injury updates have been emerging on many key members of United’s side.

One of these, Lisandro Martinez, returned to full-time training at the end of October and travelled to Argentina to train with the national team during the international break.

Now, an update has emerged on three players.

However, these are not from the men’s side and are instead from the women’s side.

Speaking to Manchester United’s club media on the club’s website, Marc Skinner provided an update on Phallon Tullis-Joyce stating “Phallon took a knock to the face [against Aston Villa], so we’re just assessing.

“She wasn’t ready for today.

“We’re going through some specialists at the minute.

“She should be fine.

“It’s just obviously trying to make sure we don’t get another knock in that area.

“She [Phallon Tullis-Joyce] could be potentially back for Wolfsburg but we’re just taking it day by day right now.

“But it shouldn’t be too long, to be honest.”

Meanwhile, Marc Skinner stated that Ella Toone suffered “a scrape down on Achilles” following her needing treatment in the second half.

Finally, Skinner stated that Simi Awujo had a “golf ball” sized lump on her forehead that blew up before she’d even left the pitch and also stated that “right now, there’s no concussion.”

Manchester United Women’s side next face VfL Wolfsburg in the UEFA Women’s Champions League before facing West Ham United in the Women’s Super League.
