Inter Attacker Correa Headed to Olympique Marseille

Inter and Olympique Marseille have reached an agreement for the transfer of Joaquin Correa. The Argentine didn’t play in the opener, as the Nerazzurri were quite clearly looking to offload him. A few sides inquired, but Les Phocéens won the race.

Per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the French outfit and the Nerazzurri agreed to a loan with an option to buy. The Ligue 1 side will pay €2M right away and have the faculty to redeem the striker for €13M.

Moreover, the accord envisages a conditioned obligation to make the transfer permanent, Sky reports. Should it happen, Olympique Marseille will spend €10M to purchase Correa from Inter, and €1M will turn into a bonus tied to their Champions League qualification in 2024/2025.

The parties will look to finalize the deal Thursday, the publications relay. After the former Lazio star signs with his new team, the Nerazzurri will bring in Alexis Sanchez for the medicals and pen a one-year contract. The newcomer will de facto succeed him at his former club.
