Inter are confident of having both Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi back for their decisive Serie A clash against Como on Friday—a boost that would help the pair regain full fitness ahead of the Champions League final at the end of May.

The Nerazzurri captain has been out since playing around 60 minutes in Inter’s thrilling 4-3 win over Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final in early May, following a remarkable recovery from the flexor injury he sustained in the first leg.

Similarly, Frattesi has missed every Serie A match since that clash with the Blaugrana, in which he scored the winning goal.

Inter confident Lautaro and Frattesi will return for Serie A decider

However, Sky Sport Italia reports that both Lautaro and the Italy international took part in parts of group training with the rest of the squad—an encouraging sign that points toward a potential call-up for Friday’s match against Como.

The Argentine striker is expected to feature , although likely not for the full 90 minutes, in what will be the final game of the Serie A season. The Nerazzurri will need to win and hope Napoli drop points at home to Cagliari if they are to pull off a last-minute title upset.
