Matteo Darmian has officially put pen to paper on his new Inter contract, continuing his adventure in black and blue.

The 34-year-old Italian full back joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2021 from Parma in a deal worth around €3.3m, having impressed during his previous season on loan.

Darmian has proven himself to be an incredibly useful member of Simone Inzaghi’s squad in the Lombardy capital, scoring eight goals and providing 10 assists across 140 total appearances. His tactical flexibility has allowed him to play across the backline, filling in where needed.

As confirmed today, Darmian has now officially signed a new one-year contract with Inter, extending his stay at the club to June 2025. Recent reports suggested that he would be rewarded with a slight raise to his current €2.5m net per season wages in the new deal.

The Nerazzurri recently announced Federico Dimarco’s new contract and are now expected to confirm the new deals for Lautaro Martinez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the coming days.
