According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have €30m available to sign a new centre-back this summer and Parma’s Giovanni Leoni is among their primary targets.

Inter are considering sending an offer for Parma talent Leoni, 18, who received regular playing time under Cristian Chivu at the Stadio Tardini in the second part of the 2024-25 campaign.

Inter consider offer for Leoni

The Nerazzurri have already invested over €70m in new signings this summer, and according to Gazzetta, they have an extra €30m available for a new centre-back.

Leoni is one of the most promising Italian defenders and has also been linked with Milan and Juventus.

Inter face Serie A competition for Leoni

Gazzetta reported last week that the Rossoneri were open to offering €13m plus striker Lorenzo Colombo for the Parma defender.

The pink paper now adds that Inter would be open to securing a deal for Leoni this summer and leave him on loan at Parma for the 2025-26 campaign.

Their transfer strategy in defence will become clearer in the coming weeks, as Inter are reportedly willing to listen to offers between €30m and €40m for Yann Bisseck this summer.

Football Italia reported earlier this month that Parma were unwilling to sell Leoni unless they received offers exceeding €25m.
